However, he later learns that the paintbrush hairs were actually that of a wild boar. The story is of a lonely artist who buys a paintbrush made with a woman's hair, and he paints a picture of that woman.
When the protagonist goes all the way to the other side, he reaches the mountains with a metal tower and a bricked building (presumably used for electricity), which inside is a story called "The Lady". He then proceeds through the forest where he kills 4 squirrels, collecting notes with facts about squirrels along the way. Once the protagonist leaves, he finds a dead squirrel which has died from eating poisonous grass. Written near the front door in blood is a message that reads "In 5 days God is coming". When the protagonist goes through the cabin, he finds a pentagram drawn in blood in a room with boxes (presumably the storage room) with a note which reads "Sayeth The Goat of the Wood, "thou shall not staple squirrels"". He says his wife now looks ugly due to rotting away and having flies around it and wants her to be beautiful like the squirrels outside the cabin, so he decides to go out and kill squirrels to nail to her remains. The protagonist tells his wife that they "came here to get away from it all" until he ended up killing her for an unknown reason. It is skinless and is missing its head, hands, and feet. On the wall, there is a corpse (the protagonist's wife whom he had killed earlier) nailed to the wall. There is a mattress in one corner of the room (where the protagonist sleeps) and a bucket in another corner (implied to be the bathroom). The game starts with the protagonist waking up in his small old hunting shed.
